- ➤ Air Traffic Operations students at ASU begin training this month in a new simulator lab developed with UFA to help them earn FAA certification. The lab gives ASU its first AT-CTI designation in Texas and will help ease the national shortage of air traffic controllers. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ San Angelo ISD named Lacy Foster as its new assistant athletic director. She brings nearly 20 years of experience from Central High School and previously supported athletic programs at Birdville and Midway High Schools as she replaces retired director Mark Baker. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ Angelo State senior Rami Balta was named NCAA Division II National Track Athlete of the Week on Monday after winning the 400-meter dash in Albuquerque and anchoring his relay team at the New Mexico Team Open last weekend (his times rank among the best in Division II history). San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Eden Bulldogs shot eight 3-pointers on Tuesday to secure a 50-24 win against district leader Menard — positioning themselves for a share of the District 12-1A title. Senior Avery Condarco led with 23 points as Eden improved to 15-13 overall and 7-1 in district. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Water Valley High School quarterback Landon Lacy will join Hardin-Simmons University to play college football as he moves from six-man games after helping his team reach consecutive state semifinals + earning Co-MVP honors. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ The Central Bobcats defeated Midland Legacy 79-43 on Tuesday night at their home court, moving into first place in District 2-6A. The team will travel to Lubbock Friday to face the Frenship Tigers at 7:30 p.m. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ San Angelo Central wide receiver Colton Hill committed to play football at the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa — joining teammate Mason Van Sickle after recovering from an ankle injury; he earned first-team All-District 2-6A honors with 66 catches, 876 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. - ➤ On Feb. 2, 2026, the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches released this week's girls state basketball rankings — which include eight Concho Valley schools — listing team records and overall standings across the state. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ The Menard Lady Jackets, the No.20-ranked girls basketball team, clinched the District 12-1A title with a 34-26 win over Eden on Tuesday + recording 20 steals that helped secure their 18th straight win.
