ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A crash at North Bryant Boulevard and West 6th Street in San Angelo sent one person to the hospital and closed the southbound lanes on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m., and police are investigating the incident. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ The Fire Marshal's Office in San Angelo has not yet identified the victim of a January fire at 2504 N. Bell St.—officials say that space heaters may have caused the blaze. San Angelo Standard-Times

- ➤ Tessa Koskovich of San Angelo LIVE secured an exclusive interview with Ted Nugent—known as the Motor City Madman—who discussed his long time in rock and roll. Nugent will perform at Cooper's BBQ in Christoval on April 26, 2025 as part of his Stranglehold 50th Anniversary Tour with Cody Jasper. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Tessa Koskovich spoke with local artist Kat Hasty who released her new single Family Business from her upcoming album The Time of Your Life. Hasty will perform at Brooks and Bates Theatre on May 31 while her album comes out on May 16—bringing new energy to San Angelo's music scene. San Angelo LIVE!
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ In January, San Angelo had the third-best unemployment rate in Texas at 3.3% as the state set record highs for jobs and the civilian labor force — figures that highlight strong economic growth. Midland and Amarillo posted even lower rates, with nearly 28,000 new jobs added during the month. San Angelo LIVE!
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ San Angelo ISD held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday for a new, sustainable expansion at McGill Elementary that merged the McGill and Austin campuses. The expansion includes 15 new classrooms, a cafeteria, and updated pick-up and drop-off areas. San Angelo LIVE!
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Data shows that in February, median home listing prices in Tom Green County dropped to $289,925 from $289,975 in January—while homes spent a median of 52 days on the market versus 69 days last month. New listings increased by 9.3% from February 2024 as the median price rose 0.7% from $288,000 and the price per square foot climbed 1.9% to $165. San Angelo Standard-Times

- ➤ San Angelo Lake View’s Janiya Jefferson earned third place at the Class 4A state powerlifting meet in Edinburg on Friday—she deadlifted 440 pounds, the best lift among all weight classes, and totaled 1,085 pounds to help her team score three points. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State softball is making its only home appearance this March as it hosts Western New Mexico Saturday at 1 p.m. and Eastern New Mexico Sunday at 2 p.m.—the team has a record of 22 wins and 4 losses and coach Travis Scott is six wins away from reaching 1,000 career wins. KWFR
