ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30 p.m. a motorcycle carrying two riders crashed into the back of a white pickup truck at N. Bryant Blvd and W. 14th Street after the pickup may have been forced to stop suddenly, leaving both riders injured and prompting police to review nearby surveillance footage as drivers experienced delays along the route. - ➤ Madstyle Vintage—a downtown San Angelo vintage store—is moving two doors down from 119 S. Chadbourne St. to 129 S. Chadbourne St. and will continue to operate at its current location with planned sales leading up to the move. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Murdoch's Ranch and Home Supply announced its grand opening with a soft opening scheduled on March 26 and a full opening planned for May 2-4 at the Sunset Mall (4001 Sunset Dr., Suite 4200). The store will offer western wear, tack, feed, ranch equipment, and a gun counter while hiring about 40 local workers and welcoming leashed dogs. San Angelo LIVE!
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ *Angelo State University Planetarium* has added four new full-dome astronomy shows to its spring schedule that will begin later this month. The shows will run at 7 p.m. on select Wednesdays and Thursdays through May 8 with admission at $3 for adults and $2 for children while students, faculty, and staff attend free, with funding provided through the *HSI-STEM* grant. - ➤ San Angelo firefighter Joshua Kemp was honored with Goodfellow Air Force Base’s Firefighter of the Year Award for leading joint training programs that boosted safety preparedness — his work strengthened the partnership between Goodfellow and the SAFD. San Angelo Standard-Times
- ➤ John Bariou is one of three candidates running for the open Single Member District 2 seat on the City Council after incumbent Tom Thompson—who was elected in 2017 and served for eight years—is running for mayor.
