ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A driver lost control of her silver Mazda when it hit the back of a black SUV at about 4 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of Shiloh Street—traffic slowed to one lane and she was cited after reporting minor injuries. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ A house fire broke out Monday afternoon near the intersection (West Avenue Q and South Randolph Street) and firefighters from San Angelo Fire Department responded quickly by connecting to a nearby hydrant to control the blaze as damage became evident on the roof and upper floor. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Christle Holeman, 45, was arrested on March 29—around 1 a.m.—after she threatened a man with two kitchen knives on Oxford Drive during a late-night dispute. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ On March 29, Brandon Tignor was arrested after a gun he was cleaning accidentally discharged at the Greenwood Apartments on 1516 Greenwood Street, striking a man in the leg who was taken to Shannon Medical Center. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ San Angelo corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail booked 10 people in the past 24 hours for charges including drug possession, assault with bodily injury, and carrying a weapon—there are now 440 individuals in custody. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ City Council will vote this morning at the McNease Convention Center on a $1.4M land sale that will let South Plains Lamesa Railroad expand its rail yard and help create a rail-served industrial park. The meeting will also consider two zoning changes — one for rezoning a 2-acre property for residential use and another to reclassify two properties for a brake and lube shop — and review a contract to replace garage doors. - ➤ Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office is honored today with a special resolution presentation at 8:30 a.m. at the Tom Green County Commissioners Court (marking 150 years of service) as it has grown from a one-man operation in 1875 to over 230 personnel. Sheriff Nick Hanna said commemorative 150th anniversary badges will be distributed to command staff today (with other officers receiving theirs later this week). San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Dozens of Vietnam War veterans and their families gathered Friday at Goodfellow Air Force Base for a final commemorative pinning ceremony that ended a decade-long national program honoring their service—military officials and organizers said the event marked an overdue thank you for the sacrifices made during the conflict. The ceremony, which coincided with the 50th anniversary of the war's end, awarded lapel pins and certificates to veterans, surviving spouses, and family members, and future Veterans Day events will continue to recognize all who served.
