- ➤ The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Parade is set for Saturday, April 5 at 10 a.m. in downtown San Angelo. Riding clubs, antique tractors, wagons, marching bands and floats will follow a route starting at Irving and Concho streets that turns through Oakes, Twohig, Chadbourne, College, Irving, Beauregard and Randolph streets to end at River Drive—participants will use a staging area near Santa Fe Park Drive and Irving Street and the parade will run rain or shine unless lightning occurs. - ➤ The Western Finance Carnival is being set up at the fairgrounds next to Foster Communications Coliseum for families to enjoy rodeo season, and it will open Friday, April 4 at 5 p.m. — it will feature rides like a Ferris wheel and roller coasters, carnival games and food vendors on several date sets through April 20. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Over three dozen firefighters worked to put out a residential fire on Randolph Street in San Angelo as officials investigated the cause and checked for injuries. FOX West Texas
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail reported 14 bookings in the past 24 hours on charges including deadly conduct—injury to a vulnerable person and assault involving family violence, and the facility currently holds 444 inmates. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is reviving its Art Thursdays program starting April 3 with free workshops where families create art using indoor projects like painting mixed media planets and decorating Greek vases and try outdoor wildflower planting on the education patio—designed for all ages. - ➤ The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office was formally recognized for 150 years of service today at the Commissioners Court after a resolution highlighted its founding in 1875. Sheriff Hanna awarded commemorative badges to its command staff, and other officers received theirs later this week. KWFR

- ➤ Angelo State baseball moved from fourth to first in the national rankings by D2baseball.com after Tampa lost its top spot following two losses by the Spartans—marking the first time Tampa dropped from the top spot this season. KWFR
- ➤ O.H. Ivie Lake, about an hour east of San Angelo on the Colorado River, was named the nation’s second best bass fishing destination for 2025 by FishingBooker because it is known for trophy-sized bass and for attracting tournament anglers—its ranking follows New York’s St. Lawrence River. - ➤ Angelo State baseball finished off a four-game sweep by winning both games of a doubleheader at Texas A&M-Kingsville on April 1. The Rams won a close 4 to 3 game and a 9 to 2 win to extend their win streak to ten games & remain first in the Lone Star Conference, and they will host St. Edward’s this weekend. KWFR
