- ➤ Fort Concho hosts Frontier Day on April 25 (7:30 a.m. to noon) featuring a $10 pancake breakfast by Lions Clubs, sheep shearing, 1880s baseball and heritage displays; the fort remains open until 4 p.m. for extra exhibits and shopping. San Angelo Standard-Times

- ➤ The ASU Percussion Ensemble will perform its free 'House Music' concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 7 in ASU's Elta Joyce Murphey Auditorium (2601 W. Ave. N) as it showcases diverse percussion pieces for all ages. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ San Angelo Central hosted the District 2-6A Track and Field Championships on Thursday, advancing top athletes to the area meet at El Paso Franklin on April 17. The girls finished second with a winning 4x400 relay while boys powered an 800 win + strong relay splits. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State finalized its 2026 football coaching staff by adding Rob Messinger as wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator and Dennis Osagiede as defensive line coach (Messinger brings over 20 years' experience from Butler and Osagiede earned success at Colorado State-Pueblo). - ➤ San Angelo’s (23-year-old) Joel Harris grabbed an early lead with a 9.4-second tie-down roping run at the Stock Show and Rodeo; the two-time qualifier praised the loyal crowd and expects another chance to rope later in the event. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Lake View's Kentrell Johnson won three gold medals at the District 5-4A Track and Field Championships in Wolfforth last Thursday, clocking 10.68 seconds in the 100-meter dash, 21.58 in the 200-meter race and helping his team win the 4x200 relay.
