- ➤ The carnival returned to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo fairgrounds on April 4, drawing crowds to 60-70 rides and attractions and welcoming about 100 vendors inside the First Financial Pavilion. Organizers said the event generated an estimated $78 million from local hotel stays and restaurant visits — a strong boost to our community's economy. FOX West Texas

- ➤ Corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail reported 15 bookings in the past 24 hours for charges like controlled substance possession and immigration holds, and the jail now holds 434 people while all remain presumed innocent. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ A San Angelo woman was booked into the Ector County Jail in Odessa on Wednesday for assaulting her husband when she threw a beer bottle that left his eye deformed (March 27) and required surgery, with her bond set at $50,000 (per police records). San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ The Angelo State softball team split its doubleheader at Lubbock Christian, winning game one 3-2 by scoring two runs in its final at-bat in the seventh inning and losing game two 5-1. Cheyenne Floyd earned her 17th win as the team, now 31-9 overall, will host Lubbock Christian at 2 p.m. tomorrow. KWFR
- ➤ Christian —Squeak— English, a standout in football and basketball at San Angelo Central, announced on Thursday he would play both sports at Fresno City College in California.
