Today, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will resume stocking thousands of catfish across Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes — including one at Oakes Street Lake, 396 S.
Irving St. in downtown San Angelo. The catfish will be delivered every two weeks until the end of fall — giving locals more chances to fish near home.
San Angelo’s newest fiberglass sheep, Ms. Bea ‘EWE’ Tiful, was unveiled Thursday at Chicken Farm Art Center by local artist Crystal Goodman as part of Downtown San Angelo Inc.’s Sheeptacular fundraising art project that features over 140 sheep; the artwork displays wildflowers, butterflies and a tire symbolizing recycling—marking a makeover for the sheep originally created in 2007 after it was vandalized.
