CRIME NEWS

  • Two young men from San Angelo were killed in a high-speed chase crash near Wall on April 11th after a DPS trooper tried to stop a white 2022 Dodge Challenger— the car reached speeds over 110 mph before losing control and hitting a guardrail, going airborne and rolling several times— and the driver was seriously injured and taken to Shannon Medical Center.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • Christian Knowlton, 27, was transferred to Tom Green County Jail on a $2.5 million bond after he was charged with aggravated robbery and injuring his grandmother—she suffered severe injuries and was taken to another hospital following an April 7 incident in San Angelo.  San Angelo LIVE!

SPORTS NEWS

  • Former San Angelo Central star Davis Martin earned his first win since 2022 when he helped the White Sox beat the Red Sox 11-1 on Friday. He allowed only six hits and one run before leaving in the seventh inning—he will start against the Athletics on Thursday.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • At the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo on Saturday night, Pete Carr Pro Rodeo honored the two-time world champion bucking horse Dirty Jacket on his final ride in San Angelo. The Hall of Fame horse bucked for 17 years and first rode in May 2008 (now 21) and helped secure titles for his riders as he ended a storied career.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • At Friday's meets, athletes from Central and Lake View secured spots for next week's regional track meet as the top four finishers in each event qualified. Central will compete at the meet at the University of Texas at Arlington & Lake View will advance at Texas Tech in Lubbock.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • Tessa Koskovich and Ryan Chadwick of the LIVE! Rodeo Team reported major changes to the leaderboards at the sixth performance of the 2025 San Angelo Rodeo. Interviews featured Sonora’s Sam Powers and Word Hudson discussing their setbacks—while a top ranked cowgirl from Dublin maintained her number one spot and Tessa spoke with a 5 year old from Brock about his win in the Mutton Bustin' Competition.  San Angelo LIVE!
