- ➤ Angelo State University earned a top 10 Military Friendly School honor on April 17, ranking No. 6 among large public schools and remaining the only Texas university in the top 10. - ➤ Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock said Texans can buy qualifying emergency supplies tax free from 12:01 a.m. on April 25 to midnight on April 27. The holiday covers items such as batteries, flashlights and generators but excludes automotive batteries and camping stoves + online delivery charges are taxable. San Angelo Standard-Times
