On May 3, voters approved two bond proposals for San Angelo ISD upgrades and a CRC Roofers Coliseum renovation—Tom Thompson was elected mayor, and Dudra Butler and Joe Self Jr. will head to a runoff for District 2—while final results will be confirmed at the May 14 City Council meeting.

Concho Valley athletes shone at the 1A state track meet Saturday, with Menard’s Danni Ruiz capturing gold in the 800-meter run and the 400 while Veribest’s Chloe Becker earned gold in the 200 and silver in the 100.
