  • The Concho Valley Farmer’s Market reopened last Saturday under the pavilion at 609 S. Oakes St. Visitors are invited to shop for local produce this weekend for Mother’s Day, and the market will stay open every Saturday until the first freeze with extra days starting May 26.  San Angelo LIVE!

ECONOMY NEWS

  • San Angelo drivers face the highest fuel costs in Texas as the regular unleaded price reaches $4.21 per gallon. The state average hit $4.09 this week as high crude oil prices (and rising travel demand ahead of Memorial Day) drive costs up.  San Angelo LIVE!

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Texas AG Ken Paxton is investigating San Angelo ISD along with dozens of other districts to verify they display the Ten Commandments and have held school board votes on designated prayer time under Senate Bills 10 & 11. The investigation follows a law that took effect Sept. 1, 2025.  San Angelo LIVE!

HEALTH NEWS

  • A San Angelo man has sued a local chiropractic clinic and three doctors for alleged negligent treatment in 2022 that he says caused a stroke, artery dissection, and vocal cord paralysis, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, May 18.  San Angelo LIVE!

SPORTS NEWS

  • Wall's three Hawks signed letters to join college sports as Wyatt Jost and Stephen Laney will play baseball + Dylan Sellars will join football while the team, fresh off a 24 to 8 record and a district title, stays focused on the Area Round game.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • The No. 12 Angelo State baseball team earned 10 postseason honors Wednesday at the LSC awards banquet and Austin Beck was named Academic Player of the Year. The team will open bracket play in the Lone Star Conference Championship on Thursday at Irwin Field.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • The Wall Hawks edged past the Tolar Rattlers 5-4 in Game 1 on Wednesday in Eula — they will take the field for Game 2 on Friday at 4:30 p.m. as they vie for a spot in the 3A Division II regional semifinals.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • Water Valley High School senior Marcus Rodriguez has signed with Sul Ross to compete in rodeo in Alpine — he will participate in tie-down and team roping after winning the calf scramble at the San Angelo Rodeo last year with a $2,000 scholarship.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • Freshman Zoey Sifuentes hit two home runs Thursday to lead the Angelo State Rambelles to a 4-1 win over Lubbock Christian in the Lone Star Conference Softball Tournament. The team will face the winner of the UT-Tyler+St. Mary’s game at 2:00 p.m. Friday.  San Angelo LIVE!
