- ➤ On Friday, the Angelo State softball team rallied from three deficits to beat Texas A&M-Kingsville 6-5 in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional opener at Schaeffer Park in Canyon & faced West Texas A&M 30 minutes later, improving their record to 47-12. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State softball faces elimination after losing a seventh-inning lead to West Texas A&M on Friday in a 9 to 6 game at the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Tournament. The team must win three games Saturday—first against the winner of Texas A&M-Kingsville and Colorado State-Pueblo at noon then twice against West Texas A&M—to keep their season alive.
