- ➤ San Angelo’s Recreation Summer Camp is open for registration for kids aged 5 to 12 — it will run from June 1 to July 31 at the Southside Recreation Center with weekly sessions costing $75 and meals provided by SAISD's food program. San Angelo LIVE!
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ San Angelo Water Utilities announced that from June 1 to June 30 it will use free chlorine instead of chloramine for water disinfection (this is to better control microbial buildup). Residents may notice a stronger taste and odor while water quality is monitored daily. San Angelo LIVE!
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Three ASU rodeo athletes qualified for national finals after strong performances in the Lone Star Region circuit. Logan Yarbrough will compete in steer roping on May 30 in Abilene while Sam Lewis and Caleb Lake join finals in Casper from June 14 to 20. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Former Wink Wildcats quarterback Kanon Gibson transferred from UTPB to Abilene Christian to compete against former Midland Lee standout Marcos Davila; Gibson, who set seven school records during his time at UTPB and excelled at Wink, will bring his stats to the Division I stage — heightening ACU's competitive spirit. - ➤ Two Texas college softball teams are set to compete in the College World Series in Oklahoma City. The Longhorns will play Tennessee at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday while the Red Raiders face Mississippi State at 11 a.m. with their next game dependent on both teams' results. San Angelo LIVE!
