- ➤ Angelo State freshman sprinter William Opare was named the U.S. Track and Field Division II National Track Athlete of the Year on Wednesday—he won three national crowns at the track meet with times in the 200- and 400-meter races and became the first ASU athlete to earn this outdoor title.
