  • San Angelo has chosen its 2026 — 2027 Stock Show and Rodeo Ambassadors after tryouts and they will perform at Brownwood Rodeo June 4 — 6, Stamford Rodeo July 1 — 4, Sonora Rodeo Aug. 14 — 15 and the San Angelo Roping Fiesta Oct. 24 — 25.  San Angelo LIVE!

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The Better Business Bureau warned that job scams have doubled since last year, with schemes offering payments for liking online videos and quick job offers. Local job seekers are urged to verify offers on official company websites and use video interviews before sharing personal information.  San Angelo Standard-Times

CULTURE NEWS

  • The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host its June 'Sips with Seth' program on Thursday, June 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Museum Director Seth Hopkins plus guests from local theatre will discuss upcoming highlights, offer free admission with a cash donation bar, and open galleries afterwards.  San Angelo LIVE!

  • Angelo State University announced Dr. Khaled Aboulnasr as the new dean of Norris-Vincent College of Business effective Aug. 1. He will manage three academic departments + oversee updates to curriculum and faculty development.  San Angelo LIVE!

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • San Angelo City Council will review a feasibility study for a proposed indoor sports complex on Tuesday as part of its regular meeting. The study by the Chamber of Commerce and Synergy Sports outlines an 8- to 10-court facility costing ($40M to $60M) that may boost regional sports tourism.  San Angelo LIVE!
  • Texas Department of Insurance urges Texans to review wind, flood, and auto coverage and update home inventories as hurricane season begins June 1. It advises residents to build an evacuation kit and check deductibles in case storms intensify along the Gulf Coast — steps to ensure preparedness.  San Angelo Standard-Times
