- ➤ Corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail in San Angelo reported that one person was booked in the past 24 hours while eight inmates were released—there are currently 405 individuals held in custody. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ The annual American Plains Artists Summer Show returns to Fort Concho on Thursday with a reception from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Quartermaster Galleries—displaying 72 paintings and several sculptures by 41 artists from 12 states with proceeds benefiting the artists, the association, and the fort. - ➤ San Angelo’s water supply changed its disinfecting process by switching from chloramine to chlorine for the next month. Water utilities director John Kaufman said the annual update may make the water taste, smell and look a bit different, but it remains safe to use—residents should have no cause for alarm. KWFR
- ➤ Texas public schools are set to receive about $8.5 billion as lawmakers approved a bill after lengthy negotiations and it now awaits Governor Abbott’s signature.
