- ➤ A crash at the intersection of Sherwood Way and Howard at about 3:10 p.m. on Monday forced police to reroute traffic via a nearby parking lot and Pecos Street—after a white Cadillac turning left failed to yield right-of-way, leaving a grey pickup truck involved and its driver taken to the hospital. - ➤ A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 87 between San Angelo and Grape Creek shut down both northbound lanes on Monday afternoon near the Texas Agrilife Research and Extension Center—an ambulance was seen leaving the scene with its lights on. San Angelo LIVE!
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail reported 14 bookings in the past 24 hours — including charges for a terroristic threat against a peace officer, discharging a firearm in a deadly conduct case, and repeated DWI — while the jail currently holds 437 inmates. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ San Angelo Police issued a statement on the June 15 stabbing at Nueva Vista Apartments—2401 Lillie St.—as officers met both parties, arrested 23-year-old Corrinne Valadez for assault family violence, and booked her into Tom Green County Jail at 11:54 p.m. with a $35,000 bond. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ On June 14 at 2:30 p.m., San Angelo police arrested 50-year-old Juan Banda after he allegedly helped steal a bike during an incident at the intersection of 9th and Oakes Streets where a man was punched and his glasses were taken—Banda is now held on a $50,000 bond. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ Today at 8:30 a.m., the San Angelo City Council meets at the McNease Convention Center’s South Meeting Room to consider a $2 million water meter purchase and resolutions for shade projects in local parks while canvassing runoff election results.
