- ➤ On June 18th, deputies arrived at 6:02 p.m. at Lakota Lane in the Buffalo Heights subdivision after a call reported Larry Ballard, 73, threatening to overdose on insulin and then firing at least six shots—one hitting a patrol vehicle—before deputies returned fire and struck him in the hip; he later retreated into his home, surrendered at 7:05 p.m., was treated at Shannon Medical Center, and booked on June 20th with a $750,000 bond.
