A new farm-to-table grocery store opened at 3402 Arden Road, Suite A, offering fresh meats, pantry items, and a service for raw milk pickup every other Thursday; it is the second location after the Abilene branch.

The store operates — Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — and brings homegrown food to San Angelo.

Whataburger will launch its new Whatafreshers craft beverage line on July 1 as part of its 75th anniversary celebration at participating locations in San Angelo.

The Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafresher is priced at $3.69 for a 16-ounce drink and $3.99 for a 20-ounce drink —showing the brand's new menu direction— and will be available by drive-thru, online or via the app.

On June 24th, 2025, San Angelo Police, DPS Aircraft Operations Division and Texas Highway Patrol Troopers arrested Emilio Partida, 45, after a green laser beam targeted an aircraft—he was booked at Tom Green County Jail for a Class A misdemeanor.

A 61-year-old San Angelo man was arrested on June 25 for allegedly assaulting one person and chasing another with a metal pipe after a dispute over trash and a bike, according to the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Corrections officers at Tom Green County Jail reported 18 bookings in the past 24 hours, including arrests for assault causing bodily injury against a family member, driving while intoxicated and U.S. Marshal holds—leaving 429 individuals in custody.

The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will celebrate Independence Day on July 3 with a steak cook-off, Chick-fil-A picnic, indoor BBQ, ice cream party and a fireworks display.

A new exhibit of Ezra Tucker's Western art will open on July 10 with a public reception from 5:30 to 8 p.m.—it will run until Sept. 7.

The San Angelo Police Academy will celebrate its first cadet graduation at its new location at Howard College at 3 p.m. today—3501 U.S. Highway 67 is open to the public to see cadets from the Basic Peace Officer Court Graduation Class 2025A who trained for over six months to become police officers.
