Angelo State University and Cyber Ready Clinic have partnered to boost cybersecurity for underserved nonprofits by launching a pilot clinic this fall that will offer assessments and recommendations; the program brings together professional experts and ASU cybersecurity students (from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute).

A San Angelo DPS sergeant earned a public safety award at the national Uniformed Safety Education Officers Workshop held in Des Moines, Iowa — he was one of five Texas officers recognized for top PSA presentations on prom and school bus safety last month.

Texas Trooper Jack Flanders, a member of DPS Recruit Class D-2025, received a certificate of appreciation from the Texas Department of Public Safety this month for his search-and-rescue work during Kerr County floods last July 4, which helped save hundreds of lives.
