- ➤ The Tom Green County Hunger Coalition is offering free lunches for kids and their families this summer at eight sites in San Angelo through the Kids Eat-FREE! Program—meals will be served Monday through Friday in July and August with no application needed. Local partners like churches, nonprofits, and businesses are supporting the program. - ➤ San Angelo City Council appointed Brandon Dyson as the new city attorney after he served as interim for more than six months following Theresa James's resignation last fall. - ➤ On Tuesday, the city council approved a $41.6M bond sale to renovate the Coliseum, expanding seating and safety that voters supported in May— the city will partner with the Stock Show and Rodeo Association under a long-term lease, and the bond sale secured a 5.418% rate that will close on Aug 14. - ➤ The City of San Angelo launched the HOT Funds Program to support local arts nonprofits that boost tourism through creative events.
