- ➤ On Aug. 8, police said a bar argument turned violent when a man allegedly attempted to assault another with a knife and a gun, causing the second man to shoot him multiple times on the 1000 block of North Monroe Street—resulting in the victim being hospitalized—and no arrests have yet been made.
