- ➤ San Angelo ISD will welcome students back on Aug. 14 as several staff members fill temporary roles, including Dana Felts at Goliad Elementary. Superintendent Dr. Christopher Moran said a new statewide ban on electronic devices will be enforced in schools—this law limits phone use during class except for emergencies. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ The city of San Angelo has approved a fee waiver for flood victims to cover building, demolition and other permit fees in the affected area—this action is in effect today and will last for 180 days. - ➤ Ida Brown has been named as ASU’s first full-time head coach for its Shotgun Sports Team today—she was a member of the USA Shooting National Team and helped Iowa Central finish in the top five at the 2025 ACUI/SCTP National Championships.
