- ➤ Parents at Lake View High School raised concerns that students did not get enough food at lunch after the school switched to a closed campus — some students faced long lines and had to eat in hallways while the district said the commercial kitchen adjusts production daily. - ➤ The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department expects a strong dove season with mourning dove numbers estimated at 35.9 million and white-winged dove numbers at 11.7 million due to good breeding conditions despite spring storms—hunters in most zones will have solid chances starting Sept. 1.
