The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts invites families for a free Family Day on Saturday, Sept.
19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Education Studio at 1 Love St. downtown—featuring music painting, rhythm drawing, free clay drop-ins, a children's book giveaway, and light refreshments while supplies last.

Menard ISD warns parents and students about a viral 'Cat in the Hat' challenge today after online posts referenced local schools and neighborhoods.
The district is working with law enforcement (to address safety concerns) and urges students not to share personal details online.

A San Angelo DPS sergeant & a Bronte trooper were honored with Lifesaving Awards on Thursday at DPS headquarters for reviving a man who collapsed from a heart attack on April 30.

Angelo State University reopened its handball courts at the Ben Kelly Center for Human Performance after a $220,000 renovation funded by longtime supporter Doug Randolph + the Randolph Foundation for Higher Education, paving the way for collegiate tournaments with the inaugural Rams Handball Invitational debuting this weekend.
West Texas high school football district standings were updated with last week’s scores, including El Paso Pebble Hills beating Midland High 31-17, and new schedules have been posted for teams such as San Angelo Central at Mansfield Lake Ridge + additional matchups.
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football released this week’s state football rankings, with the Wall Hawks and Mason Punchers moving up ahead of Week 2 + the list covering classes from 6A1 to 1A Division II.
No. 21 Angelo State opened the volleyball season with a perfect 4-0 record by winning the 16th annual Kathleen Brasfield Invitational over the weekend at the Junell Center-Stephens Arena.
The team will play its first road match today at Adams State before traveling to the Colorado Premier Challenge next weekend.
Today, the COVER1 Crew recapped Week 1 of Texas high school football where Lake View Chiefs overcame Fort Stockton, Central Bobcats defeated Abilene Eagles in their 100th meeting, and Wall Hawks bested Canyon West Plains Wolves.
