- ➤ On Sept 16, San Angelo ended its partnership with Concho Valley PAWS to manage pet adoptions in-house—city officials reassigned staff to support the transition while PAWS warned the change may lead to fewer adoptions and more euthanasia. New animal services manager Amanda Weddle said the shelter will also work with several rescue organizations to broaden adoption opportunities. San Angelo Standard-Times
- ➤ A Tom Green County judge reinstated Rio Concho Retirement Communities’ lawsuit after the appraisal district removed tax exemptions from affordable senior housing properties. The nonprofit says the change stripped tax protections for seniors and now asks the court to declare the properties exempt—adjust their appraised values and update records. San Angelo LIVE!
