- ➤ Toys for Tots of the Concho Valley launches its holiday season today with a free event at Sam’s Club parking lot where families enjoy bounce houses, games, and fun activities. The nonprofit aims to help 45,000 children in 15 counties—including Kerr County which suffered heavy flood damage in July—and families can sign up for help starting Oct 1. FOX West Texas
- ➤ River Fest returns today along the Concho River with free family activities including sports tournaments, food and craft vendors, horse rides, and a mermaid pageant—adding local flavor after a seven-year break. - ➤ On Friday, the Lake View Chiefs dropped their first game of the year at San Angelo Stadium against Levelland after erasing a 20-point deficit—nearly tying the game before losing 40—33. The Chiefs will host Burnet next week as they try to bounce back. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ High school football fans in West Texas are looking ahead to five key games in Week 5. In San Angelo, the Lake View Chiefs will host Levelland at San Angelo Stadium while Robert Lee faces Sands, Junction meets Falls City, Wall takes on Sweetwater, and Eden plays Bronte — each matchup set to impact playoff hopes.
