- ➤ San Angelo officials warned business owners after reports emerged of someone posing as a health inspector—inspectors must have valid city-issued identification and any suspicious encounter should be reported immediately to the Health Department at 325-657-4493. San Angelo LIVE!
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Angelo State University opened its new mobile STEM Innovation Lab today to bring VR, AI, robotics and other tech experiences to rural and underserved schools in West Texas — the lab will remain on campus through the fall as it gets final updates before visiting local events and fully expanding in spring. - ➤ Angelo State University will host Dr. Ryan Yonk—director of education at the American Institute for Economic Research—for a free public presentation on U.S.-China relations on Oct. 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the ASU Cavness Science Building, Room 100 at 2460 Dena Drive. KWFR

- ➤ Houston Harte Expressway is closed today between Main and Bell for flood repairs after damage from the July 4 floods—drivers must use detours via Pulliam Street or Loop 306 and leave extra time for travel. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Congressman August Pfluger hosted a town hall in Sterling City to share Washington updates and answer local residents' questions—he also honored Sheriff Russell Irby with a Congressional Certificate for rescuing a missing 2-year-old child. San Angelo LIVE!
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Angelo State Rams football moved up to #5 in Division II and will host UT-Permian Basin—now #9—in a top-10 matchup on Saturday at 6 p.m. that will decide the Lone Star Conference championship. KWFR
- ➤ Angelo State freshman Christine Huse broke her school's record by shooting a 66 (-5) on Monday at the WT Fall Invitational on La Paloma Golf Course in Amarillo, beating the previous 67 set by Kamryn Cummings in October 2017.
