Bell St. was damaged by fire on Sunday morning when nine fire trucks arrived and no one was hurt—services have been canceled and a GoFundMe campaign has started as investigators look into possible arson and vandalism amid reports of a cultural religious attack. - ➤ A 430‐megawatt solar farm called Cold Creek Solar will power more than 47,000 homes in Tom Green and Schleicher counties. The project by Doral Renewables will add a 340‐megawatt‐hour battery storage system and create hundreds of local jobs — boosting local infrastructure. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ City Manager Daniel Valenzuela announced his retirement one year in advance at the Oct 7 council meeting and will retire on Oct 31, 2026 — the city council will soon begin the search for his successor with help from a recruiting firm. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ The San Angelo City Council approved several measures on Tuesday, including a $309,050 contract for police surveillance technology, nearly $3 million for fleet vehicle purchases, and a city-run pet adoption program managed by San Angelo Animal Services—each measure passing unanimously. They also renewed weather modification funding, extended the flood disaster declaration by 90 days, and updated board rules to allow alternates—steps that keep essential city operations on track.
