Meals for the Elderly, a San Angelo nonprofit, is raising funds to provide Thanksgiving dinners for disabled and older residents.

Donations for turkey meals with all the trimmings can be given online, by mail, or in person before Nov. 20.

Fire crews battled a major blaze for over three hours at the downtown San Angelo building near North Oakes and East 3rd Street Wednesday morning — the smoldering structure that caught fire Tuesday was demolished.
