- ➤ San Angelo Animal Services seized 27 dogs Monday in an animal cruelty case and is asking residents to adopt or foster them—shelter capacity is strained as the animals await the hearing and appeal process. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ San Angelo ISD trustees approved Lee Lewis Construction as the Construction Manager at Risk for three major bond projects at Glenn Middle School, Central High School, and Lake View High School last week—this decision will save $1.8 million by consolidating work under one firm. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ The San Angelo Central Bobcats won their first district game last Saturday, beating Midland High 34—27 after overcoming a 17—7 deficit, and Coach Mark Smith said the team's strong rushing attack helped secure the win. - ➤ Last week in West Texas high school football, Brady won a four-overtime 17-15 game over Early and San Angelo Central came back to beat Midland High 34-27. Water Valley surprised many with a 67-30 win over Robert Lee and Lake View clinched its first winning season in 21 years with a 42-14 win at Pecos—keeping playoff hopes alive. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State Rams are ranked No. 16 nationally and face No. 8 Central Washington in a must-win game to boost playoff hopes—game time is 8 p.m. CST Saturday in Ellensburg and could move ASU into the top 10 while tying for the conference title. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ High school volleyball playoffs in the Concho Valley and West Texas will begin this Thursday and Friday with opening-round games scheduled in Rankin, Brady, Monahans, Sonora, and at San Angelo Central — matchups include San Angelo Central versus El Paso Eastwood at 5 p.m. Friday and Wall versus Blanco at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
