- ➤ A Veterans Day parade will be held this Saturday in downtown San Angelo from 11 a.m. to noon to honor service members and veterans from all branches. The 22nd annual event is themed '85th Anniversary of Goodfellow Air Force Base' & may allow exceptions for late participation on a case-by-case basis. San Angelo Standard-Times
- ➤ Hundreds gathered Saturday night along the Concho River Walk to honor lost loved ones during San Angelo’s Dia de los Muertos celebration at Bart DeWitt Park — the event let residents share memories and pay tribute. FOX West Texas

- ➤ Artist Lon Brauer’s painting 1957 has been added to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts’ collection after winning the 2025 museum purchase award. - ➤ Tylor and the Train Robbers will perform live at the Arc Light Sports Bar and Grill inside the Clarion Hotel at 441 Rio Concho Dr in San Angelo on November 8 starting at 10 p.m. after college football games — the event honors outlaw Black Jack Ketchum’s historic legacy in West Texas. - ➤ Angelo State University is hosting Dr. Bradley Hobbs from Clemson University on Nov 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Mathematics-Computer Science Building at 2200 Dena Drive—his free public talk will explain Adam Smith's role in modern economics. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ A San Angelo doctor, Dr. Mark Edwards, was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Medical Board District Three Review Committee with a term lasting until Jan. 15, 2028—he is the medical director for Shannon Clinic Urgent Care Centers including Shannon Urgent Care West. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ Linda Grace from Vitalant said that O negative blood is urgently needed after donations dropped during the holiday weekend—local hospitals may face shortages if donations do not soon recover. Health officials urge donors to help replenish local supplies. FOX West Texas

- ➤ The Central Bobcats secured a playoff spot with a 35—32 win over Odessa High last Friday and now prepare to face the Frenship Tigers Thursday at San Angelo Stadium at 7 p.m. as they battle for a better playoff seed. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ West Texas high school football district standings for Week 11 show mixed records with several teams remaining undefeated while others have not yet won. Key matchups scheduled this week include Midland at Permian and TLCA at Breckenridge among several contests across divisions. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Lake View Chiefs set a school record with a 76-49 win over Big Spring and will play for an outright district title on Friday if they defeat Andrews—marking their first outright title since 1996. QB Chris Alvizo threw for 301 yards with five touchdown passes while Braylon White caught four passes as Lake View capitalized on five turnovers by Big Spring. KWFR
- ➤ The Angelo State Rams lost to Central Washington 38-21 on November 3, which ended their playoff hopes after they trailed 28-7 by halftime. The volleyball team beat #14 West Texas A&M in four sets at the Junell Center and improved their conference record to 11-2. KWFR
