- ➤ The fourth Tamale Fest will return this weekend on W. Twohig downtown from 11 to 6—continuing its annual celebration of tamales for the community. FOX West Texas
- ➤ San Angelo's 22nd Annual Veterans Day Parade will take place downtown tomorrow (11 a.m. to noon) to honor military service members and veterans and celebrate the 85th Anniversary of Goodfellow Air Force Base. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ Angelo State University inducted 23 students into the national honor society Alpha Chi during fall 2025 at the Houston Harte University Center—recognizing them for top academic performance. San Angelo LIVE!
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ San Angelo city offices will close Tuesday for Veterans Day while garbage collection and landfill operations continue as usual. Free self-guided tours at Fort Concho from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a Veterans Day ceremony at Fairmount Cemetery at 11 a.m. will honor veterans — featuring local performances and ceremonial salutes. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ San Angelo's Central Bobcats beat district champion Frenship 52—16 at San Angelo Stadium on Thursday night and now await their playoff matchup against El Paso Pebble Hills. The team rallied from a halftime deficit by outscoring the Tigers 42—0 in the second half to secure their first winning season since 2019. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State University will host Game Day activities tomorrow on Nov. 8 with a Ram Jam tailgate from 3-5 p.m. at the LeGrand Alumni and Visitors Center featuring a free concert by country singer Payton Smith, and the Rams will play in a Military Appreciation Day football game at 6 p.m. at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union Field (active duty military, their dependents and veterans get free admission with a valid ID). - ➤ Angelo State University will play Western Oregon at 6 p.m. Saturday at LeGrand Stadium for its final home game and a win is needed to keep playoff hopes alive after a 38-21 loss to Central Washington (Military Appreciation and Senior Day events plus a Navy SEAL skydive add extra excitement). They will also face West Texas A&M next week to strengthen their chance for the playoffs. San Angelo LIVE!
