- ➤ Barron’s Body Shop won first place in the 2025 San Angelo Business Plan Competition on November 12 and received $50,000 — the contest was hosted by COSADC with support from ASU’s Small Business Development Center and ASU Norris-Vincent College of Business, while Rooted Wellness Clinic and Mad Messy finished second and third with $30,000 and $20,000 respectively. - ➤ Grape Creek High School held a ribbon cutting on Nov. 12 for its new laundry service, The Tidy Talon, which is now available on campus. FOX West Texas

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, San Angelo/Tom Green County Health Department inspectors found that some local restaurants did not use handwashing facilities and kept food unprotected (with Rice Food and Boba receiving a low score of 87 due to issues like food stored in ice and no marking on items). - ➤ The Veribest and Water Valley volleyball teams will compete in a Tom Green County regional final at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Midlothian High School—located more than 250 miles from San Angelo.
