- ➤ The Salvation Army of San Angelo launched its annual Angel Tree program to help over 725 children in need receive toys and clothing this Christmas. - ➤ San Angelo State Park reminded locals and photographers that submissions for its 30th anniversary photo contest will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. CT on Nov. 30 — park staff will select finalists and the public will vote for the winning image. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Angelo State Planetarium celebrates 40 years by welcoming thousands of West Texans to its star shows—despite being run by only two staff members over the decades. The venue remains a key part of the community that sparks interest in space and science. FOX West Texas

- ➤ San Angelo ISD Superintendent Christopher Moran joined a panel on November 15 and said state takeovers that replace local school boards with state managers undermined local control amid budget and academic strains. - ➤ A team of four Angelo State University graduate students won first place at Gartner Consulting’s Texas Case Study Competition on November 12—beating teams from larger schools by presenting their AI plan to boost operations for a state agency. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Foreign exchange students in Texas may lose eligibility for varsity sports next school year under a proposed UIL rule approved by the UIL legislative council—pending final approval by state education commissioner Mike Morath. - ➤ On Nov 17, the high school football playoffs saw the Wall Hawks beat Anthony 77-0 and Grape Creek secure its first playoff win by defeating Crane 50-15—Water Valley beat Hermleigh 62-14 and Robert Lee beat Ira 60-14. Wall will face Childress on Thursday while Grape Creek, Water Valley and Robert Lee are set to play Idalou, Newcastle and Turkey Valley Friday—Eldorado, Ozona and Bronte were eliminated. KWFR
- ➤ Angelo State quarterback Braeden Fuller announced he entered the NCAA transfer portal after a calf injury weakened his season—even though he was named *Offensive Player of the Year* last season. - ➤ Angelo State men’s basketball team improved its record to 5-0 after winning games by scores of 68 to 61 against Adams State and 91 to 72 over Western Colorado on its home court last weekend. - ➤ Angelo State volleyball won its 12th Lone Star Conference title and will host the championship tournament at the Junell Center starting Thursday—the football team lost 45–44 at West Texas A&M, men’s basketball stayed 5–0 after beating Adams State, and the Belles split games in Colorado before playing Western Colorado tonight.
