- ➤ On Thursday, San Angelo’s Children’s Advocacy Center of Greater West Texas received a $633,000 donation from Reagan County’s Friends for Hope Coalition. Sheriff Jeff Garner said the funds will support child victim services—he noted the donation honors a long-standing partnership—and added it will help care for children in need. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ Thanksgiving Day in San Angelo will have mixed hours as big stores like Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Kohl’s and HomeGoods will be closed while H-E-B and restaurants such as Alejandro’s, Denny’s, Dun Bar East, Golden Corral, IHOP, McDonald’s, Oriental Flame, Roxie’s Diner and Whataburger will operate with set hours. City services—including municipal court, water billing, trash collection, and city offices—will pause while sites like Fort Concho and WIC offices adjust their schedules, although select cinemas, dollar stores, ride share, and food delivery services remain available. - ➤ A new H-TeaO and Free Rein Coffee shop is planned for a 2,400-square-foot storefront on the corner of Sherwood Way and Hunters Glen Road—near the newer H-E-B. - ➤ A cocktail bar and cigar lounge is opening soon in downtown San Angelo at 206 and 210 S. Chadbourne St by owner Cyndi Holguin — the new business will open in two to three weeks and is hiring bartenders, servers, and door staff — as announced on social media. San Angelo Standard-Times

- ➤ Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock over 335,000 rainbow trout in San Angelo and other local waterways starting November 26, just before Thanksgiving. Anglers can use simple gear to try catching the fish—daily bag limits of five apply to ensure a fair turn at fishing. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ A fishing survey by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department this week at Lake Nasworthy found bluegill mostly 3—5 inches long, gizzard shad 4—9 inches long and 106 largemouth bass up to 22 inches long with the heaviest weighing 8.8 pounds. The survey revealed that fish reach the legal length of 14 inches at about 3.8 years old—consistent with past surveys. San Angelo LIVE!
