- ➤ At the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas on Monday, all three San Angelo tie-down ropers finished in the money. Joel Harris finished second in 7.6 seconds for $28,980, while Dylan Hancock and Ty Harris finished fourth and tied for fifth for $15,377 and $7,688 respectively — boosting their season earnings. - ➤ Wall Lady Hawks vaulted to No. 1 in Class 3A rankings after a 12-1 start as they won five games over ranked teams but lost once to Brock. They will face longtime rival Canyon today under head coach Silas Crisler. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ At the Crimson & Gold Invitational in Kansas this past Saturday, Angelo State’s men's 4x400 relay team ran the third-fastest time in Division II history at 3:07.92, nearly breaking the record, and seven relay and individual provisional marks set up a chance to compete in the 2026 indoor national meet. - ➤ In the HS football playoffs, Wall Hawks beat Idalou 48-7 to reach the state semifinals and will face defending champion Gunter Friday at 6 p.m. in Stephenville — marking their second meeting. Water Valley lost 54-46 to Rankin in the 1A Division I semifinal. KWFR
- ➤ Four members of the San Angelo Incredibles have been selected from hundreds statewide to bowl at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Summer Games in Minnesota from June 20-26 & they will showcase their skills representing our community. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ ASU volleyball lost in the South Central regional final after a Friday win advanced the team to face top-seeded Metro State-Denver in three sets & the Belles finished the season at 26-8, missing a second straight Elite Eight berth. KWFR
- ➤ The undefeated Central boys basketball team, boasting a 12-0 record, remains unranked in state polls despite winning the Doug McCutchen Tournament by beating Lubbock Estacado and Lake View; the team will travel to Hobbs, New Mexico today to test its record. San Angelo LIVE!
