- ➤ Goodfellow Air Force Base now uses a retired F-16 to train future firefighters for real-world emergencies. The exercise prepares participants to practice safety measures without fire risks. FOX West Texas
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Wall Hawks made their first appearance in the Class 3A boys state basketball rankings at No. 20 on Monday after a 13-3 start that included wins over state-ranked teams and will play Abilene High at home at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ The Wall Hawks will play for a state championship for the second time in school history when they face No. 4 Newton at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the AT and T Stadium in Arlington. The team improved its record to 15-0 after a dramatic 28-25 win over Gunter. KWFR
- ➤ Tom Green County volleyball players were honored on the Texas Girls Coaches Association all-state team on Monday; Water Valley led with four selections while athletes from Veribest, Wall, Sterling City, and Wink also earned recognition following notable playoff runs. San Angelo LIVE!
