ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire at a storage facility on Knickerbocker Road near Mathis Field Airport destroyed local mechanic Matt Stone’s business last Friday at 2:30 p.m., wiping out his tools and equipment and prompting him to launch a GoFundMe fundraiser while fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze with no injuries reported. - ➤ A legal dispute among San Angelo plumbing businesses over misuse of customer information and trade secret theft moved forward in Tom Green County district court, with a motion hearing held on Tuesday, Dec. 30 — and a pre-trial hearing scheduled for 9 a.m. on Jan. 23 — in the 51st District Court. - ➤ Texas Parks and Wildlife Department completed a crappie survey at Lake Nasworthy and Twin Buttes Reservoir — the survey showed fewer fish than before yet healthy white crappie up to 12 inches and 13 inches growing quickly; anglers may visit the Lake Nasworthy pier with Mossback attractors for additional fish structure. - ➤ Dallas-based Skybox Datacenters is proposing a hyperscale data center on 343-374 acres of city-owned land northeast of here.
