- ➤ Today, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will resume stocking thousands of catfish across Neighborhood Fishin’ lakes — including one at Oakes Street Lake, 396 S. Irving St. in downtown San Angelo. The catfish will be delivered every two weeks until the end of fall — giving locals more chances to fish near home. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ San Angelo’s newest fiberglass sheep, Ms. Bea ‘EWE’ Tiful, was unveiled Thursday at Chicken Farm Art Center by local artist Crystal Goodman as part of Downtown San Angelo Inc.’s Sheeptacular fundraising art project that features over 140 sheep; the artwork displays wildflowers, butterflies and a tire symbolizing recycling—marking a makeover for the sheep originally created in 2007 after it was vandalized. - ➤ Hailey Lowden, a senior computer science major at Angelo State University, was selected for the NSA’s 10-week Future Computing Summer Internship Program in Maryland as the first ASU student to join the program—she will gain hands-on experience in high performance computing and receive an $850 weekly stipend along with transportation, lodging, and meals. - ➤ San Angelo ISD candidate Geneva Rodriguez is running for the District 2 board seat and will focus on transparency to build trust and ensure funds from the upcoming bond are used wisely. She, along with Karla Cardenas, plans to replace Lupita Arroyo while drawing on her experience as a parent and community organizer to serve all students. San Angelo LIVE!

- ➤ Tom Green County deputies now use over 50 new rifles bought for $115K with funds from criminal investigations. The new firearms from L9 Manufacturing come with red dot optics, mounted lights and slings—selected after a year-long evaluation to replace rifles that had served for more than 20 years. - ➤ The 2025 San Angelo Home Builders Association Parade of Homes will feature 11 custom-built houses by seven local builders — each showing modern design, craftsmanship and luxury — as the tour travels from Lake Nasworthy through Bentwood, Southland and Santa Rita. Guided walk-throughs are set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. San Angelo LIVE!
