Fort Concho celebrated Frontier Day Saturday by keeping alive a tradition that spans more than fifty years.

On Saturday, visitors enjoyed Frontier Day at Fort Concho with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lion’s Club—live music, rope tricks, and demonstrations of 1800s skills including sheep shearing and old-time baseball brought history to life.

On Wednesday, the Fort Concho Speaker Series will feature historian Charles Anderson, offering a free lecture in the Commissary at 702 Burgess from noon to 1 p.m.
