- ➤ Rep. August Pfluger backed the House defense bill that gave $100M for Goodfellow Air Force Base housing — the bill also funds improvements at Fort Hood and other Texas military projects. San Angelo LIVE!
- ➤ The U.S. Census Bureau released its latest American Community Survey on Thursday showing San Angelo has 99,661 residents—up from 97,183 in 2023—and the data is used in federal funding decisions. San Angelo Standard-Times

- ➤ The San Angelo Lake View football team won 44-27 against Lamesa last Friday to improve to a 3-0 record for the first time since 2019—its offense scored at least 42 points in every win. They will host Lubbock High at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at San Angelo Stadium. San Angelo LIVE!
